The Catfish and Comedy Festival began in June 2015 on the River Stage at Wayne Jerrolds River Park in Savannah, Tennessee hosting standup comics from Memphis and Nashville, improvisers from the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, California, and headliner Sara Schaefer.

The festival, created and organized by the Savannah Arts Commission (501c3), is a perfect mix of great comedy, Southern food, and small-town weirdness. Local individuals and organizations provide fried fish, hamburgers, hot dogs, cookies, beer, and more, and the hillside within the park provides a natural amphitheater-type atmosphere. This year's show will take place Saturday, June 25 with gates opening at 5:00 PM.
